Resources for Students and Young People
Resources on this page are specifically targeted at students and young people. Most of these resources are designed for secondary school students but some are applicable to primary school students and others apply to students in all education sectors.
- MyFuture is a complete career development website that provides the latest information on career choice, skills, fast facts on labour market, jobs growth, job profiles and personal interest inventory. This website is applicable for adults as well as students.
- The Job Guide is a book produced each year for Year 10 students to assist with career development programs
- The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is a one stop application process into higher education, TAFE and independent Tertiary colleges
- DEECD Resources for Students provides links and information relevant to primary and secondary students. This website also contains information and resources relevant to international students
- Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships provides the latest information on skills and training for the para professional areas
- Youth Central is a state government supported site, designed for young people and maintained by young people. It is a comprehensive site for all career development needs fo young people in and out of education. This site provides Resume Builder, the resume building service.
- Careers in Science is a Federal Government site with extensive profiles on science occupations and careers
- Paws in Jobland is a cute job profile tool designed for primary school students. Guide Paws as he learns about different jobs. This is a Canadian resource.
