ANNOUNCING The New Career Practitioner’s Training Program 2010 REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN BOOK TODAY!

The Career Education Association of Victoria (CEAV) will be offering two Career Practitioner’s Training Programs for newly appointed Career Practitioners / MIPs / VET Coordinators in 2010. The program has been designed to cater for new practitioners in the field of career development for young people who may be taking up the role at the beginning of the year or half way through the year.

In 2010, the new Career Practitioners Training Program will be offered as a three-day residential supported by a Follow Up day in June and November respectively. The Residential Training Program will be offered in the beautiful surrounds of Queen’s College hosted by The University of Melbourne for both Round 1 and Round 2. Additional Follow Up days will be scheduled for June 18 and November 18. Further information regarding these programs will be available on the CEAV website.

There are two conference packages available for you to consider. Please read the details carefully before making your selection. The training rates are for CEAV financial Members only. If you are unaware of your schools’ current member status, please email CEAV on admin@ceav.vic.edu.au or telephone 9349 1900.

The CEAV has restructured the program so it is more in line with a Training Program. Each Training Program will have spaces for 50 practitioners supported by five professionally qualified and highly experienced school based career practitioners as mentors. This intense training program will be delivered as a series of lectures and small group workshops managed by Career Mentors to support the work of new practitioners. A Training Manual will be provided with activities to be completed during the program. Training workbook, key resources, and handouts will be supplied as part of the training program. The new Career Practitioners Training Program will continue to cover all the required skills and knowledge needed by new career practitioners to ensure they can provide quality career development practices in their school.
