This is a 1-day workshop designed for career practitioners to improve their knowledge of career planning for students with disability. The objectives of the workshop include:

•              Understanding the issues facing students with disability

•              Social theory and the inclusion of students with a disability in accessing and attaining education training and employment - Access and Equity principles

•              Regulatory and Legal Requirements

•              Identifying the support requirements, networks and flexible learning adjustments in a career development context

•              Assistive Technologies - Preparation for transition to further training/work

This workshop will contribute to the professional development required to meet the annual renewal requirements for AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS - Special needs requirements for renewal.
