The Creative Arts Industry Immersion Experience Day in Bendigo is an exciting day of activities and presentations focused on the visual and performing arts.

Students will spend time learning about careers in the visual arts from staff at the Bendigo Art Gallery and explore careers in the performing arts with Arena Theatre Company and the team Capital Venue & Events.

**Please note, this immersion day will require students to walk some distances (between 5 - 10 minutes) between venues.


 What happens on the day?

  • Students and teachers will meet at the La Trobe Art Institute for registration and an introduction. 
  • Following a short briefing, students and teachers will be separated into 4 groups and assigned a CEAV representative.
  • Each group led by their CEAV staff member will be escorted to their two morning activities.
  • Students and teachers will participate in activities until lunch time. Students and teachers will need to BYO lunch or if approved by the attending teachers, buy it near the Bendigo Arts Precinct.
  • Students and teachers will regroup following lunch and participate in two afternoon activities.
  • Students and teachers will regroup around 2:30pm to return to school.

Students will receive:

  • A light morning snack
  • An Industry Immersion bag and student workbook with activities linked to the Victorian curriculum

 Teachers will receive:

  • A light morning snack
  • An Industry Immersion bag with links to teaching resources and lesson plans linked to the Victorian curriculum
  • Funded transport to and from the Industry Immersion Experience venue
  • CRT for all teachers attending the excursion.


**Details regarding reimbursement arrangements for travel and CRT costs will be forwarded once registration has been completed.
